It has been almost a month since I was last active on DA, though I have peeked in a time or two. Work has been unbelievably busy with a series of special events, and I went to a marketing conference for a week. That was fun and informative. I brought back a new marketing ideas and discovered that I am evenly a blue, green, and gold personality with very, very little orange. (Later I might write a blog post on the personality colors...) I am looking forward to a week of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) training in July as well.

In addition to work and travel, the Bible study series my church was hosting came to a close after 32 lessons/sessions. Singing three songs at every session plus manning the lights and sound system for 32 nights (that is three nights a week) is exhausting. As Youth Director of the church, I am toying with ideas for a summer get-together... maybe a pizza party or Friday Night Vespers or game night or something.

I am also preparing for a week-long summer camp in July for military kids, and I was asked to be the girls' director. I went as just a regular mentor last year, and enjoyed it. This year, my sister is also going as a mentor. There will be plenty of team-building activities and fun.

Anyway, I have been so busy that it feels I have lost my creativity. It has been over a month since I sat down to write in any of my projects (novels, short stories, and fanfiction), and I barely managed to do any sketching at all. Not being able to write or draw is... is like being sucked dry by a vampire and left a lifeless, hollow husk of a person going through the motions.

Fortunately, I stumbled upon my creativity the other day and was revived. Yesterday I was even inspired by a new concept for my personal site. The new design is about half done. When I finish, I will upload a screenshot.

Well, I am going to get comfortable and knock out a page or two in a story...
