Squirrel Adventurer

This smart-looking, tree-clinging fellow here is Sebastian Greenleaf, renown author, adventurer, and employee of the mysterious Traveling Library. (My fictional character in the universe of my younger sister's The Squirrel-Type Letters.)

Greenleaf also happens to be an Indian Giant Squirrel [link] in a Wood where the majority of the squirrel citizens are smaller gray and black varieties. Due to his immensely popular children's series, The Adventures of Timothy Frederick III, he tends to be mobbed by rabid fans wherever he goes, which is one reason he is more of a solitary creature and tends to go on as many adventure-missions for the Traveling Library as he can.

So, besides his popular book series, what does Greenleaf do? He goes adventuring for the Traveling Library and his field journals are then edited into books which are then loaned out from the Traveling Library to its branch libraries through the Wood.

(By the way, everything except Greenleaf was created by my sister for her NaNoWriMo novels, The Squirrel-Type Letters... with a little creative help from moi. )

This sketch is actually a few months old, but I happened to forget all about it. I re-discovered it this afternoon will browsing all of the saved sketches on my laptop, and I really love it.
